Send-age

Yesterday at the mini-crag, same wade across the river -- tho' the level was lower it felt more frigid than last week. Luckily there were more rocks above water, making for breaks from the freeeeeezing waters, during the crossing (see Rich and Champ resting on a rock).

A quick warm-up and I got on my route. I made a few mistakes at the first crux and almost gave up, but decided to push on. And there I was, at the anchors! I don't know how hard it is, maybe 12c -ish. Not sure if I trust my rating system right now. It feels good to be getting back in shape and be relatively pain free.

The crag got super hot so we ventured down into the trees for some bouldering. The temps there were perfect. See photos...

Yesterday February 09 was my Dad's birthday. Though he's still not in this world anymore I just wanted to make a mention in his honor. Happy Birthday Dad! Miss you!

Missed climbing with the Ricters, Rich and Margo today at Jack's, but I was pretty knackered. Slept in until 1pm!! I was up at 6 and 10 am, but went back to bed, so it's not really a record.
