Kicking Ice

Feeling pretty sick of winter. A lot of the snow has melted but there are still these huge sidewalks of ice lining all the streets. Everytime I get out of my car and walk to work I want to kick it, but I'd probably break a toe. I looked at the weather a few days ago and it predicted warmer weather for this week, but everytime I walk out the door to go to work it's freezing, I look at my car thermometer and it's in the 20's. Then I go out at lunch and the wind is blowing and I realize the jacket I chose was not for the day's weather. Oh that damn groundhog. How I long for warm weather, green grass and this year there should be spring flowers. Guess I'll keep waiting and eventually my scratchy throat and saggy, sleepy eyes will disappear.
