Today I was walking down the street and feeling a little grumpy b/c I had some stuff I had to do for work and it needed to be done yesterday or three weeks ago. But anyway, I saw someone and remembered my friend Genes...We were bike riding the other day and she said hi to probably every person we passed. I feel a little shy about stuff like that, but I heard nearly every person say hi back in a very pleasant tone. Thinking of it, sort of shocked me out of my little attitude and I smiled and said hi to the first person I saw. Suddenly my day was different.
When we were having a conversation about religion later that evening Genes said it was more about living right than "believing right" and she described how she tries to live her life. I knew that was true b/c I've seen it and I really saw it that day on the bike.
